We offer a late 19th c. Chinese sang de boeuf ginger jar mounted as an elegant lamp. It is approximately 22 tall and 6 in diameter; a well-proportioned ginger jar (9 high) on a carved base with an adjustable brass pipe, two bulb sockets and a small brass faux bois finial at the top. It was likely converted to a lamp in the 1920s or 30s, the jar is late 19th century. With rich color and pleasingly glossy lemon peel surface this lamp makes a dramatic yet understated entrance into a variety of interior settings. Condition: There is some crazing in the glaze of the jar, minor surface wear to the brass lid, good condition overall. A note about packing: Check our feedback. We take pride in our excellent packing. We double-box all fragile items to insure their safe journey through the postal system.
