Jewelry: 1910 - 1939 Art Deco. Antique Chinese Bronze Hu Vase With Archaic Bird Motifs 12 H Late 19th Century. Offered here is a lovely antique Chinese bronze Hu vase, very decorative, with arcaic bird motif. With great raised relief work of a bird on branches, a pod and chrysanthemums arranged in a bowl on the front of the vase's neck, and two very unusual elephant headed serpentine handles. Very beautiful bronze patina, great color dark color.

Nice subtle gilt highlights from being held and touched for over 100 years! Piece is not marked anywhere. Measures approximately 12" H x 6" at it's widest middle bulb. Item is in excellent antique condition.

The piece has great feel to it, is heavy and dense, and really is fantastic. Felt was removed from the bottom and there is some residue on the bottom rim.
