Late 19th Century's Chinese moulded hand painted Sancai green glazed Foo dog lion incense burner. The figure stands raised on a hollow rectangular pedestal base with pierced emblems to three sides. The dog has its open mouth revealing its teeth, the bulging eyes have been glazed a black colour and there is a spot of red brown glaze on the forehead as well as a few spots in the mouth. The interior is hollow and you can see the clay. In good conditions, on the back there is a chip, shown in the last photo, otherwise in very good condition with minor nibbles and wear in the glaze.
