Big, extremely rare, late Qing Dynasty Chinese Buddhist silk Tangka painting. Here is presented a beautiful, huge, Buddhist painting from the late 19 century. The thangka painting is painted with natural pigments on fine silk.

This late 19 century painting (probably the reign of Guagnxu period or earlier) depicts the Buddha sitting on a lotus with 4 Bodhisattvas attending the Buddha. The style is re -incarnating in shape and colors, the Buddhist painting of the great Tang Dynasty. The painting is in overall good condition. However, there are losses at the corners, mostly upper corners, some creases and cracks in the painting, which are expected with the age and due to the size of the painting. If possible, I would suggest to re mount it on another clothe, to stabilize the painting.
