Up for your consideration is a porcelain statue of a foo dog, or Buddhist lion on a stand, from late Qing dynasty or early Republic period. Considering its age, its condition is pretty good. The beast has a cub climbing on her. There are losses of gilt, scratches and rubbings.

The bottom has red print "CHIINA", which is consistent with our dating that this piece was produced in late Qing dynasty or early Republic period.
