Important Palace-Size Late 19th or Early 20th Century Chinese Black Lacquer Wood, Deep Relief Carved Six Panel Screen. Important Palace-Size Late 19th or Early 20th Century Chinese Black Lacquer Wood, Deep Relief Carved Six Panel Screen Inlaid with Jade, Carnelian, and Rose Quartz. Finely gilt painted courtyard scene and multi color flower accents on border. Inlaid jade, carnelian, and rose quartz as birds, trees, butterflies, mosquitoes, and flowers.

Deep relief lower panel depicts: archaic style patterns, lucky symbol, and scholars objects. Above deep relief panel depicts: carved pattern with lucky symbol. Multi-color painted scene of birds, flowers, and trees on obverse side of each panel.

Several cracks to wood and wear associated with age, scuffs, minor cracks to precious stones, rubbing to lacquer otherwise good condition. Each panel measures 103" H x 24" W.
