Late 1700s/early 1800s Chinese Export Porcelain Helmet Form Blue White Creamer. Presented is a fine old antique Chinese export porcelain creamer or small milk pitcher. This piece dates to the late 1700s or early 1800s.
The creamer is made in a classic helmet form, with a branch form handle and a round pedestal foot. The creamer is white with nicely done blue decoration showing pagodas and rowboats on the water. This piece is in great overall condition.
There is a small chip to the tip of the spout with a little hairline extending inwards about an inch from it. This chip has been professionally restored, likely this restoration is itself antique. This is hard to notice from the top, but a little more visible on the underside of the spout, you can see both views in the ninth photograph. There are no splits, no dents, no chips, no cracks, no breaks, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs. The creamer stands about 5 3/8 inches tall at the tallest point and measures about 6 1/4 inches from the handle to the spout.
