A fine example of a Qianlong period Chinese églomisé reverse painted glass or mirror of an interior/exterior scene with figures in a carved brown painted wooden frame, in good overall condition, with some light soiling around the border, paint losses on the frame edges and borders, and other imperfections. Probably dates to the late 18th century. Dimensions: 9 ½ H x 13 ¾ W, sight; 13 ½ H x 17 ½ W, framed. A local family business since 1983.
