This vintage late 19th century tall antique Chinese vase is beautifully hand decorated & painted in hues of blue. The decorated bulbous shape vase features a wide flared lip designed with multiple shield shape panels painted in varying intensities of cobalt blue. A white porcelain vase provides the background for these blue painted panels featuring a large blooming tree with perched peacocks, framed against elaborate oversize flowers.

The blue & white pattern at the base of the vase complements the overall appearance. There are some condition issues. There is some discoloration, probably from an old restoration. This is visible as a "stripe" from an area on the "shoulder" & goes down through the peacock display. Thus, there are some issues, but the vase.
