Late Qing / Early Republic Bronze Chinese Girl with Peaches
Chinese late Qing / early Republic period (circa 1900) bronze metal casting of a girl dressed in a decorative robe and trousers. Her hair is nicely coifed with two round hairpieces. She is carrying a plate of peaches, which symbolizes the offering of long life and immortality. The surface of this piece has a nice, dark brown patina.
Indentations can be seen on the feet, likely meant to fit into its original base. Dimensions: 7.5" H x 2.5" W x 3 D. We are a working jewelry store and gallery and, therefore, are not available to answer questions on weekends.
